Around 40 people from municipalities, companies, government agencies and other organisations gathered in Gothenburg on 3 February for a workshop entitled “How can we transform ditched peatland from an emissions source to emissions sink?”. The workshop was the first in a series focusing on ways of achieving the UN’s global sustainable development goals. More workshops on other themes are planned for the autumn.
The autumn will also see the first after-work get-together with researchers. Anyone who is interested can attend and listen to a panel discussion where researchers debate a hot topic. This is a tried-and-tested concept at the University of Gothenburg but something new for the Faculty of Science. The sea, climate and AI are all important areas that might generate topics for the researchers to discuss. The event is held in partnership with Folkuniversitetet.
Look out for it in our calendar!
